New Lithrone Press With Fast Change-Over At Drupa

A Komori UK product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jun 4, 2008

Komori has launched its latest LS40 press in the form of the claimed 18,000 sheets per hour (sph) Lithrone SX40 at the Drupa 2008 exhibition.

The press is said to have a new, higher speed fully-automatic plate change (F-APC) with continuous plate removal, which is said to help increase the speed for job change-over.

Komori added that the Lithrone SX40 can change six plates in approximately two minutes.

Along with the new KHS-AI self-learning system, that enables a claimed 35 per cent reduction in job change-over time.

From the end of production on one job to an satisfactory sheet on the next it takes just over six minutes.

The automated coater plate change increases speed, precision and ease of use, added the company.

All controls are integrated and automatic through the new PQC console's touch screen.

The new KHS-AI fast print start-up system's self-learning function progressively updates all press pre-settings.

Alongside the Lithrone SX40, Komori is also highlighting eight offset presses ranging in size from the small format Spica 529P up to the Systems 38S 16-page web machine.
