Two Komori Presses To Increase Quality And Service

Two new Komori presses, a 10-colour Lithrone S29H Perfector and a five-colour Lithrone S29H, will help Matthews the Printers increase client service and quality when they are installed this summer.

The environmental aspects of the presses were a key factor for Matthews when deciding which machines to buy, said Komori, which added that the London (UK) printer's environmental processes are already high but the in-line ink pumping system that will be installed with the presses will help reduce waste further.

Dennis Ott, Matthews the Printers' chief executive, commented: "The deployment of these new state-of-the art presses will give us around 35 per cent - 40 per cent extra capacity, increase internal efficiencies and reduce our environmental impact.

The presses are part of a strategy of developing a robust production platform on which to focus our client offering over the next five years.

Komori's environmental credentials also mirror our own and we are looking forward to continuing our working relationship with the company over the next few years.

And Chris Riddell, the company's managing director, added: "Komori was one of the only companies that could ensure we could run alcohol-free presses, which is a key feature for our organisation.

Komori's general sales manager for the south of the UK, Phil Holland, said: "We not only manufacture state of the art equipment but we are also committed to the environment by utilising solar and wind power at our manufacturing plant and operating a zero emissions policy.
