5,000 A4 Packs Per Hour Polywrapper Debuts At Ipex

It is said to be suitable for printers and direct mail companies that want to upgrade from lower speed equipment, such as the Lara Route Express, which KAS already sells.

The company said that users will be able to upgrade without having to invest in high speed polywrappers at much greater cost.

The new polywrapper is said to be able to handle from CD width items up to over A4 with a maximum speed of over 5,000 A4 packs per hour.

It will have similar feeders to the Mailmaster 465HS range and it will be possible to purchase systems where the same feeders are interchangeable between the poly-wrapper and envelope inserter.

Also at Ipex will be the Mailmaster Compact C4 enveloper, which was previewed in the UK at Digital Print World.

It is an entry level DL to C4 system, which not has a small footprint to help overcome space issues, said KAS.

It is supplied in a fixed configuration, comprising a sheet feeder folder, two insert feeders and a had feed position, with the possibility of one additional feeder.

It envelopes at speeds up to 5,000 an hour, inserting up to 12mm in to a C4 sized envelope, with a duty cycle of over 500,000 per month, added the company.

It has many of the features of the existing Mailmaster 465HS, including quick change-over between jobs, touch screen control, folding facility, feeders that will handle from a single sheet to a 7mm book and optional OMR or Barcode reading.

KAS will be demonstrating the ease of operation and quick change-over of the latest version of the Mailmaster 465HS and Mailmaster 565 HS envelope inserters.

The Mailmaster 465HS inserts in to envelope sizes between DL and over-sized C4 at speed of up to 6,000 completed envelopes an hour, whilst the Mailmaster 565HS inserts in to envelope sizes up to C5 at speeds of over 7,000 per hour.

Additional features include sheet feeders with accumulation and folding in-line with OMR, BCR or OCR facility, touch screen control, management information, in-line stapling or bookletmaking.

KAS will also show its range of KASfold Bookletmakers and ancillary equipment.

It will also be the first international show of the Creasematic 150 Programmable Card Creaser.
