Digital Print Show Sees Direct Mail

KAS Paper Systems will be exhibiting a range of equipment for enveloping digitally printed material and inserts in a choice of polythene or paper during the Digital Print World exhibition.
The new Mailwrap poly-wrapper is said to have been developed to fill a gap in the market for printers and direct mail companies to upgrade from lower speed equipment without having to invest in high speed polywrappers at much greater cost It handles products from CD width up to over A4 with a maximum speed of over 5000 A4 packs per hour, claimed KAS

KAS Paper Systems will be exhibiting examples of its enveloping inserters, polywrappers, magazine inserters and booklet-makers at Drupa 2004.
There is also the possibility of integrating it with the Mailmaster 465HS enveloper, sharing the same feeders.
Also on display will be the Mailmaster Compact C4 Enveloper, described as an entry level DL to C4 system that provides a lower price option.
It is supplied in a fixed configuration, comprising a sheet feeder folder, two insert feeders and a hand feed position, with the possibility of one additional feeder.
It inserts in to envelopes at claimed speeds up to 5,000 an hour, inserting up to 12mm in to a C4 sized envelope, with a duty cycle of over 500,000 per month.
The Mailmaster Compact C4 Enveloper is also said to have many of the features of the existing Mailmaster 465HS, including quick change-over between jobs, touch screen control, folding facility, feeders that will handle from a single sheet to a 7mm book and optional OMR or barcode reading, said KAS.
