KBA Rapida In At Print Two Thousand
KBA UK is equipping Glasgow's Print Two Thousand for an explosion onto Scotland's quality colour market.
RCS managing director, Michael Todd said: "It was the fast make-ready of the Rapida that attracted me.
My philosophy is that as soon as a job is on press I want it off! The machine has a number of features only grudgingly offered by other suppliers and we look forward to the machineïs arrival." The Rapida, part of a £1m strategic investment by RCS, follows consistent new technology purchases including Lotem Quantum CTP and CIP data control of press and post press operations.
The KBA Rapida will now allow RCS to further step up production.
It is envisaged that the new press will be run 24 hours-a-day, six days-a-week.
RCS was originally founded as Rainbow Copy Shop in 1990.
Beginning with a Gestetner 311, the business has seen consistent expansion before moving to its present modern 35,000 sq ft factory in 2001.
Today RCS is a £6m annual turnover company, with 85-employees, producing promotional print for smaller businesses across the UK. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
