The eighth KBA Compacta 215 in Latin America - and the first in the Central American state of Mexico - is destined for the printing house of Centro Grafico Industrial S.A de C.V

in Mexico City.

The new Compacta 215, a 16-page commercial web press from Koenig and Bauer, is Centro Grafico's first new-generation heatset press; the existing fleet features various sheet fed presses and an ageing commercial web press.

The Compacta 215 will primarily be used to output high-quality brochures, primarily for the fashion industry, and magazines.

The Compacta 215 for Centro Grafico is KBA's first big breakthrough in the market for web presses in Mexico following a string of sales of sheet fed presses from KBA Planeta in Radebeul.

Engineered for a production speed of 50,000 copies per hour, the Compacta 215 features a cylinder circumference of 578mm (22.76") for a web width of 1.000mm (39.37").

The press package consists of a KBA Pastostar reel stand, infeed unit, four printing units, hot air dryer, chill roller stand, superstructure with a pair of turner bars and the automatically adjustable F3 gripper folder.

The KBA Patras M reel supply system ensures a constant flow of reels to the press. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
