Rapida Press Highlighted At Italian Show
At Medprint 2004 from October 21-24 in Naples (Italy) KBA will be represented by its Italian subsidiary, KBA-Italia, on Stand 3/03 in hall 3.

The 18,000 sheets per hour (sph) Rapida 74 - the first of the new generation to be shown in Italy - features a coater and delivery extension, plus new automation modules for changing the plates and cleaning the impression cylinders.
It will be printing and coating on postcards and posters using hybrid inks and will be linked to a KBA Densitronic Basic electronic colour-control system and a CIPlink workstation to support the conversion of pre-press data for press preset.

Italy is one of the biggest export markets for KBA sheetfed offset presses and the company said there are Rapida presses of all sizes are in operation at prominent commercial, book and packaging printers throughout the country.
KBA added that it is also a premier supplier of web presses to the Italian market, with 16pp to 64pp commercial presses at Italy's biggest printing and publishing houses.
Through its agency GAM International KBA has also moved up amongst the leading vendors of newspaper presses in Italy.
