Another of KBA's popular two-across, two-around Comets will come on stream in mid-year at the Istanbul production plant of Turkish newspaper publishing house Feza Gazetecilik.
The £1.2 million spend with KBA will include the upgrade of an existing mono tower and the provision of an additional 4/4 tower to provide up to 128 tabloid pages of full colour in one pass.
"The Comet has performed excellently over the years.
It still has a long productive life ahead of it and is well worth this new investment to give us 100 per cent colour," said CN Group technical director, Peter Simpson.
Cumbrian Newsprint prints a wide variety of newspapers published by its own group including 31,000 daily copies of the 'News and Star' and 40,000 weekly copies of the 'The Cumberland News'.
Amongst its list of external contract printing customers is News International for whom the plant produces 100,000 copies of the Scottish edition of 'The Sun' five nights a week. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
