Two Genius Presses Now Promised For
Northprint

KBA has released more details about its decision to debut the waterless Genius 52 B3 short-run press at the UK's Northprint exhibition in Harrogate next month.

KBA has released more details about its decision to debut the waterless Genius 52 B3 short-run press at the UK's Northprint exhibition in Harrogate next month The Genius, only previously seen in the UK as a prototype, will make its commercial bow at the show so that its claimed sophisticated but easy one-man operation can be fully demonstrated

The Genius is designed in four or five colour versions with keyless inking units positioned around a central impression cylinder thus providing significant space savings - the press has a footprint of nine square metres - claimed KBA.

At Northprint KBA will be demonstrating two Genius models - on the KBA UK stand B235 in hall B will be the Genius 52 UV.

On the Litho Supplies stand M440 in Hall M will be the mainstream Genius 52.

Litho Supplies is KBA's exclusive agents for England, Scotland and Wales for the mainstream Genius 52.

The Genius 52 UV is the specialised model of the press for the production of plastic sheets, labels and cards, which is equipped with a dryer and extended delivery, for printing on a varied range of plastics such as ABS, PVC and PC, for instance a 360mm x 520mm sheet size.

Designed by KBA's German partner Metronic, the Genius UV prints in four or five colours with UV curing inks that rapidly and completely harden through an efficient integrated drying system said KBA.

Further processing such as laminating or punching can take place immediately afterwards without a waiting period.

Sheet thickness can vary from a minimum of 0.1mm up to 0.8mm.

For smaller printers attending Northprint, KBA believes that the mainstream Genius 52 is a must-see exhibit because it is claimed to be an affordable 'pocket-sized' printing press available in four or five colours.

The Genius is said to offer four minutes to make-ready and 8,000 sheets per hour (sph) from a one-man press operating on a small footprint.

KBA claimed that the press offers keyless, ghost-free inking with impressive solids, whilst the press offers green and friendly waterless offset, with seven sheets of waste from start-up, low noise and reduced emissions.

the company also added that the Genius can be up and running within a three-day installation period. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
