Press

Winkowski, the biggest offset print operations in Poland and one of the fastest growing in Europe, is achieving record output from its first KBA sheetfed offset press.

Winkowski, the biggest offset print operations in Poland and one of the fastest growing in Europe, is achieving record output from its first KBA sheetfed offset press The 1,120mm x 1,620mm (44" x 63.75") Rapida 162 six-colour press with coater, delivery extension, automatic plate change and other automation features mainly prints packaging, a market that is rapidly expanding

Six months after pressing the button, Winkowski has announced output more in keeping with medium-format presses running 24 hours-a-day in South Korea or other Asian countries rather than in Europe, said KBA.

Last month, the KBA Rapida 162 produced out more than three million sheets.

Founder and co-proprietor Tadeusz Winkowski is a print pioneer, having been the first in Poland to adopt CTP and modern finishing technology.

So far he has purchased more than 20 web offset presses, plus a whole fleet of sheetfed presses, most of them installed and commissioned by his own production team.

Last year, exports accounted for 30 per cent of the company's total output.

The record performance of the KBA press in the emerging packaging market proves once again that, with the right technology and motivated staff, extraordinary achievements are possible in a remarkably short time said KBA.

Winkowski has already ordered a second Rapida 162 and is seriously considering the addition of his first Rapida 205 for a 1,510mm x 2,050mm (59.5" x 80.75") sheet size. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
