Dutch Printer Extends KBA Production Capacity
Dutch printing house Janssen Pers Rotatiedruk, a longstanding KBA customer based in Gennep, has ordered an extension to the single-width Continent web press it installed in 1999.
Over the past 10 years, KBA believes it has been a driver of innovation in waterless printing processes with the aim of standardising sheetfed and web offset production to deliver a repeatable, high level of excellence.
To that end the company said it has launched a succession of small-format and half-format sheetfed presses - the new Genius 52, 74 Karat DI offset and Rapida 74 Gravuflow - and a compact newspaper press with the Cortina.
The technological challenges involved in developing the individual products, which include temperature control, inking, plate life, environmental issues and cost-efficiency, and how they were overcome are also detailed in the issue, along with user reports and and examination of future prospects.
'KBA Process' is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish and it can be obtained free of charge from the marketing department at Koenig and Bauer AG in Germany, or downloaded as a PDF file from KBA's website. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
