Terry Thompson has joined KBA UK as special projects engineer for heatset web.
Terry Thompson has joined KBA UK as special projects engineer for heatset web.
His first task will be to oversee the installation of the two 818 Compacta double circumference 64pp presses being installed at New Jarrold Printing at Wymondham, Norfolk.
Thompson (58) who spent 37 years with BPC, BPCC and more latterly the Polestar Group, has vast engineering experience beginning with letterpress and covering sheetfed litho, gravure packaging, flexo printing, rotogravure and web offset, said KBA.
KBA UK managing director, Christian Knapp, explained : "This appointment illustrates how we are committed to the commercial web sector and to supporting our sales operation with some high calibre engineering experience.
It is imperative that these new presses start up well to underscore our total focus on project management and successful start-ups.
