At the Tuyap show in Istanbul KBA announced the sales of four more KBA Comet presses to Feza Gazetecilic.

When installed at the company's sites in Adana, Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, the company will be producing part editions of the high-circulation daily newspaper 'Zaman'.

KBA believes that together with its partners Bojunga and Savas, Dereli Graphic, Systec and Matgrup, it showed that it is a force to be reckoned a force to be reckoned with in Turkey, said the company.

It was the first time that KBA had approached its customers with a joint stand managed by Bojunga and Savas and Dereli Graphic.

The centrepiece was a five-colour Rapida 105 universal press with coating tower and extended delivery, which was demonstrated in live production.

The Turkish agency of new subsidiary KBA-Grafitec, Matgrup, was present on one of the neighbouring stands with a KBA Performa 74 in its four-colour version, completing the line-up together with Systec, as the agent of KBA-Metronic for the offset sector.

Systec has been engaged in the personalisation sector already and has its own service and sales network at site.

The companies presented a personalisation system known as 'UDA-Scratch-off' from KBA-Metronic AG at the show.

KBA believes that the Tuyap fair gave a clear indication of the growing interest that the Turkish print industry is now showing in the company's technology.

Enquiries were received regarding presses for large-format sheetfed offset, as well as for less commonplace configurations in the 70cm x 100cm medium format, for printing plastics, or for double coating and UV applications, for instance.
