Second 8-Colour 4/4 Rapida 105 for South Korea Euddeum Creative and Printing Switches to KBA.

Seoul-based Euddeum Creative and Printing has signed up for its first Rapida 105.

Due for installation in April 2003, the eight-colour autoperfector press will be the second of its kind in South Korea.

According to company president Kim Young Cun, the decision in favour of the Rapida 105 was made after a gruelling round of print tests and demos at Ipex in Birmingham and at press operations in Germany, Singapore and Malaysia.

The excellence of the Rapida's performance persuaded management to switch to KBA after having installed two medium-format Heidelberg presses just one year previously.

The new B1-plus press will feature ink-temperature control, an IR dryer in the delivery extension and differential drives for the dampeners.

The automation package includes plate changing, nonstop rollers at the feeder and (height-adjustable) in the delivery, and an 18? touch-screen monitor at the console.

Around 70 Rapida printing units were shipped to South Korea in 2002, among them the first 6-colour size 5 press.
