Cambridge Newspapers is planning to expand its newspaper contract printing with a pressroom investment in back to back colour facilities.
The 74 Karat represents East Central One´s first venture into printing but, says managing director Alan Harbison, "This is a printing press made for a repro company." If a 74 Karat is taking a leading repro house into print it is a 46 Karat that is spearheading a drive by a specialist typesetter further into the colour printing market.
Words and Graphics is a Leicestershire company expert in large print typesetting for the visually impaired, and typesets over 600 books each year, many with over 600 pages, and is now increasingly attracting quality colour print from publishing and local commercial markets.
Data Layout in Greenwich is moving into its second year of 74 Karat operation.
