Two KBA Compacta 215 16-page commercial web presses and two eight-colour Rapida 105 sheetfed presses will be installed by Blitz-Inform in the Ukraine by the end of the summer The two new KBA Compacta 215 web presses will be installed in Kiev over the next few weeks

The 16-page commercial web presses, one in the left-right version, the second in the right-left version, will be assembled parallel to each other.

Both presses have four printing units with fully automatic plate change systems.

An in-line ink measuring and control system will ensure quick ink optimisation of print jobs.

With the KBA Logotronic professional production management system, which also incorporates the sheetfed presses at Blitz-Inform, printers and management will have an overview of production status at all times.

The web presses are claimed by KBA to have high production flexibility and provide cost optimisation through minimisation of make-ready times and waste.

The two new eight-colour Rapida 105s are equipped for paper and cardboard printing.

UV and hybrid printing is also possible with one of the two medium-format presses in the 18,000 sheets per hour (sph) generation.

The presses' automation, user convenience and flexibility will open up new possibilities for Blitz.
