Dutch Printer Extends KBA Production Capacity
Dutch printing house Janssen Pers Rotatiedruk, a longstanding KBA customer based in Gennep, has ordered an extension to the single-width Continent web press it installed in 1999.
It took over production of the entire security press range a few years ago.
Sales are handled by KBA's dedicated Swiss subsidiary, KBA-Giori in Lausanne.
The new hall, which was inaugurated nine months after construction work started, expands capacity to keep pace with growing demand in a market where KBA has been a key player for over 50 years, said the company.
Alongside customers and suppliers, the ceremony was attended by a number of local luminaries, amongst them Dr Erwin Proll, head of the Lower Austrian government, and Sonja Zwanzl, a member of the Bundesrat and president of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
KBA-Modling managing director Wolfgang Schischek described the new assembly hall as a further major milestone in the company's development and an investment in the future.
KBA deputy president Claus Bolza-Schunemann, executive vice-president for production Dr Frank Junker and KBA-Giori technical director Johannes Schaede were presented with medals for services to the Republic of Austria.
The awards honoured the commitment KBA has demonstrated to its 780-employee subsidiary throughout an association that dates back to 1913, added the company.
KBA said that the new hall provides much brighter, climate-controlled working conditions for assembly staff. Request free introductory details about products from KBA ...
