Dutch Printer Extends KBA Production Capacity
Dutch printing house Janssen Pers Rotatiedruk, a longstanding KBA customer based in Gennep, has ordered an extension to the single-width Continent web press it installed in 1999.
A seven-colour KBA Rapida 74 in half-format and a Rapida 105 universal with six printing units, double-coating facilities and Densitronic S, are said to be providing print quality and the range of options for in-line finishing have provided the company with a boost.
After nine months in production, the two presses have already clocked up 50 million impressions and there is still no end to the growth in orders in sight, added the company.
The next plan, therefore, is to optimise internal production processes by implementing JDF/JMF-based printshop networking.
In planning the company's progress, Novis managing director Alexandru Galos recognised the importance of the packaging sector and began to handle not only posters, but also labels.
Given the strong growth in labels business and the ever stricter quality and hygiene demands of customers, a move to new premises became unavoidable.
With a staff now numbering 75 people, Novis has risen to become market leader for labels in Romania.
"Our aim is to be the best print provider on the market.
And we strive to operate on a par with our west European competitors in terms of economic efficiency, quality and modern production processes," is how Novis managing director Alexandru Galos described his intentions. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
