Glory Moon, one of the leading producers of greeting cards and consumer paper products in Asia, has invested in three new sheetfed offset printing presses of the Rapida and Performa series from KBA.
The a B2 four-colour version of the KBA Performa 74 press with coating unit, will be demonstrated at the show, printing on paper and card.
The Performa 74 is enjoying success in Poland, the Czech Republic and other East European countries, added KBA, which said it recognised the growing importance of the Polish market by setting up its KBA-Polska subsidiary in Warsaw last November.
Thirty KBA Rapida printing units, most of them medium-format systems, and 70 Performa printing units were installed by KBA-Grafitec in Poland last year.
Many of the major companies in the Polish printing industry have been on the KBA client list a long time.
They include commercial printer Winkowski with a large-format 162 press, printing firm Grafpoz with a long 15-unit Rapida 105, Unigraf with eight printing units for film production, printshops Engas and Eldruk with UV and hybrid applications on Rapida 105 medium-format presses and packaging printer Ellert, LCL, Karton-Pak, Netbox and Eurodruk (Cracow).
The WY-DRUK (Katowice) and JAS-POL (Krynica) printing plants have each begun operations on a five-colour Performa 74, whilst Poland's first Performa 74 with perfecting is in service at Pabianickie Zaklady Graficzne.
In the newspaper sector, Agora is amongst those relying on Koenig and Bauer.
Agora produces the daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza on KBA Colora web presses at its three sites in Warsaw, Tychy and Pila.
Edytor in Olsztyn prints a leading regional title, Gazete Olsztynsk, on a KBA Comet and two new TR10B rotogravure presses at BDN in Wykroty underline KBA's position in the publication gravure press market, said the company.
