Dutch Printer Extends KBA Production Capacity
Dutch printing house Janssen Pers Rotatiedruk, a longstanding KBA customer based in Gennep, has ordered an extension to the single-width Continent web press it installed in 1999.
The Rapida 162a sheetfed press is one of the KBA range of large format and super large format presses gaining a growing installation base across the UK in the packaging, point of sale, cartographic and book printing sectors.
Bezier Chief Executive, Mark Shaw said: "Our decision to purchase the KBA Rapida has been led by our current mix of work, demand from the marketplace and our need for latent capacity.
Having this new technology will ensure we are able to deliver the increased volume and range of output required to stay at the forefront of the industry." KBA (UK) managing director, Christian Knapp commented: "This 162a machine is highly specified to enable Bezier to compete successfully in the growing POS and consumer markets.
