Dutch Printer Extends KBA Production Capacity
Dutch printing house Janssen Pers Rotatiedruk, a longstanding KBA customer based in Gennep, has ordered an extension to the single-width Continent web press it installed in 1999.
It will incorporate a CX package for handling board up to 1.2mm thick and will be fitted with an in-line slitter to divide the sheets.
Other features will include KBA's Densitometric S colour measurement and control system and the ACR-Control system for automatic video-assisted register adjustment, which together with automatic plate mounting and the fast-reacting inking units, promises make-ready time benefits.
With Logotronic basic and a CIPLink workstation, an unbroken data flow will be guaranteed, claimed KBA.
The control technology integrated in to the Ergotronic console and the fully-automatic plate changer are additional features to be included on the press, whilst its drive system and double-size impression cylinders and transfer drums will ensure smooth paper travel and optimum print quality.
In Plakatif's market, an unbroken workflow from pre-press to plate exposure is indispensable and so the company will also establish a fully-automatic Kodak Magnus VLF CTP platesetter together with a Prinergy workflow.
Alongside Print Assist, Kodak and the OFS Group (printing plates), Swiss Print Logistik from Wettingen will also play an important role in the project as the consultants responsible for product selection and evaluation on behalf of AWP, said KBA. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
