Large Format Press To Continue Packaging
Growth

To continue its growth since installing large format KBA Rapida presses, packaging printer Glama Pak has ordered another similar machine.

The large-format six-colour Rapida with coater unit and extended delivery will be installed by KBA Australasia in Glama Park's Melbourne (Australia) factory next March as the latest extension to the company's production capacity Glama Pak is already running a six-colour Rapida 162a (sheet format 120cm x 162cm) and a seven-colour Rapida 142, both with inline coating facilities

The Glama Park presses have automation, including with, for example, fully automatic plate changing (FAPC) and a Densitronic S colour measurement and control system integrated in to a digital workflow via KBA Logotronic professional.

KBA said that Glama Pak has been recording growth since switching to Rapida large-format presses a few years ago.

Glama Park's chief executive officer, Dean Caton, said: "Having assessed the need for a third large-format printing press, we had no hesitation in selecting another KBA press.

Our experience with the previous installations, especially on the more recent Rapida 142, which has been practically trouble-free, gave us great confidence in KBA's abilities. Request a free brochure from KBA ...

And the KBA service and support offerings add further to our peace of mind." Dave Lewis, sheetfed general manager at KBA Australasia, commented: "We are absolutely thrilled to be installing already the third large-format Rapida at Glama Pak in spring 2008 and we are pleased to be making this contribution to its continued growth and success.".
