Fastest B1 Press In UK Runs At 18,000sph

With what is claimed to be the fastest performing B1 sheetfed perfecting press in the UK, Buxton Press is achieving a 18,000 sheets per hour (sph) in straight production.

The Derbyshire magazine printer said its KBA Rapida 105 eight-colour press is also attaining 15,000sph in perfecting mode It is also maintaining that throughput on super lightweight paper and the machine is coupled to a high-performance reel sheeter

Said to be already operating the largest range of KBA long perfecting sheetfed presses in the world, Buxton Press's newest machine is its seventh KBA press in the past seven years.

The Rapida running flat out attracted a visit from Henry Schmidt, KBA's director of service for thee UK, USA and South Africa accompanied by KBA UK managing director, Christian Knapp.
