Compact Web Press For Short Runs At
Drupa 08

The latest issue of Koenig and Bauer's (KBA) magazine, KBA Report, gives a foretaste of Drupa 08 exhibition themes, including process automation and digitisation in offset with JDF, MIS and CAM.

According to KBA, the magazine also highlights the emerging emphasis on in-line finishing, UV applications and green printing, as well as the potential of modern large-format presses for printing commercials, displays and packaging The issue also examines the current options for brand protection, book, directory and waterless printing in sheetfed and web offset

KBA president and chief executive officer, Albrecht Bolza-Schunemann commented: "The list is almost endless.

It would be a mistake to affix just one label to Drupa, as some have tended to do in the past." He said that the company's 3,400 square metre (36,600 square foot) stand in hall 16 at Drupa 08 will show its automated, compact wet offset press, the Commander CT, and, with shorter print runs in mind, its Drivetronic SPC dedicated plate-cylinder drives for its medium-format sheetfed press, the Rapida 105.

Bolza-Schunemann is quoted in the latest company magazine as saying: "Print is alive and kicking and this latest issue of our corporate magazine certainly lives up to its reputation amongst print professionals as a globally oriented publication covering a wide variety of issues and providing a wealth of useful advice." KBA Report is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

It can be obtained from KBA dealers or the KBA marketing department. Request a free brochure from KBA ...
