KBA develops online carbon emissions calculator

In collaboration with a climate protection consultancy, KBA has released a carbon emissions calculator that allows printers to determine the amount of CO2 generated by production runs.
The information provided by the calculator allows companies, if they wish, to offset their carbon impact through participation in certified climate protection projects.
KBA has launched its new printers\' carbon emissions calculation service online.
Alternatively, a print firm's customers can be given the option to be excluded from the programme - and the cost - to incorporate the 'carbon footprint' of their work into their own climate neutral initiatives.
Printers can register for the service online and enter their relevant production data to receive information on the amount of CO2 emitted.
KBA and Climatepartner said that this service is available throughout Europe and the US.
