Lake Image Systems will introduce Integravision PV at Print '05 in Chicago (USA).

Lake Image Systems will introduce Integravision PV at Print '05 in Chicago (USA) Integravision PV is said to provide detailed analysis of each Postnet code at the output of inserting, stitching and inkjet equipment and provides machine control upon code deterioration

IntegraVision PV will be demonstrated on Lake Image Systems stand - 3074 - at Print '05.

Claimed to be capable of analysing laser, inkjet and alternatively printed codes at maximum equipment speeds, Integravision PV evaluates each code based on many of the same standards used by the US Postal Service (USPS), including streak detection, void detection, correct number of bars, bar height, zone clearance, bar rotation, proper spacing, tilt, skew, bar-width and check digit verification.

It also decodes, records and provides statistics for each bar-code analysed, said the company.

According to Pat Hoskins, Lake's vice president of sales and marketing: "Integravision PV helps eliminate costly re-work, spoilage and postal errors associated with poorly printed Postnet codes enabling users to optimise postage automation discounts.

Unique in this market, Integravision's Postnet verification is another tool in our Integravision software suite.

That means the system can be stand alone or can be utilised simultaneously with other camera inspections within the same system for such applications as matching, sequencing verification, comparing production to print file information, tray break and bundle break sorting, for instance.".
