Spotting Missing And Duplicate Pieces In Real Time
APT, a PC-based piece level and job level tracking system is claimed to allow document processors to identify missing and duplicate pieces, in real time, according to Lake Image Systems.
Integrascan utilises a high-resolution camera to verify proper placement, legibility and accuracy of human readable characters, bar codes and sequential numbering.
"By identifying missing, duplicate and illegible pieces, our customers ensure quality, reduce re-work and eliminate the manual labour associated with inspection and reconciliation processes," said Pat Hoskins, vice president of sales and marketing at Lake Image Systems.
According to Pat Hoskins: "Our system introductions at Graph Expo are focused on adding intelligence to legacy inserters, stitching and booklet making equipment.
We are replacing traditional methods for document matching and collation control with new technology that verifies and proves document and collation integrity without the need for obtrusive OMR and bar codes on pieces." He continued: "The intelligence provided by our Integravision platform integrates on almost all legacy inserters, stitchers and booklet makers, lengthening product life-cycles for existing plant equipment and providing intelligence and integrity reporting equal or superior to that of new mail processing equipment." Lake Image Systems will also be exhibiting on stand 3278 at Graph Expo, from October 15 - 18 in Chicago.
