For the first time worldwide, Lasermax Roll Systems showed its newly-available LX590 Folder in-line bulk fanfolding system for high-speed digital printers.

The fully-automated LX590 Folder was shown at the Oce Open House in Poing (Germany), where it demonstrated its claimed productivity benefits for organisations printing large volumes of transactional documents.

Along with a length of less than 2.5 metres (including transport cart), the LX590 Folder offers an expanded specification (when compared to current Lasermax Roll Systems' folders), claimed high performance, ease of use and flexibility features.

Lasermax said that the folder runs pinless or pinfed paper, at speeds up to 700 feet per minute, in web widths up to 533mm.

The LX590 Folder automatically compresses fanfold perforations, creating flat stacks for reliable inserter feeding.

Both printer and folder keep running as stacks are ejected and space-savings transport carts move the large stacks on to the inserter room.

The company added that the LX590 features fully-automated operations, including automatic paper web loading, form size changes and stack ejection.

The folder builds vertical stacks of fanfold forms up to nearly one metre high for long printer and inserter runs with a minimum of operator attention required.

At the same time, the folder provides job separation capability and the off-line LX595 Stack Turner is available for A-Z and Z-A statement processing.

The LX590 Folder pairs with a Lasermax Roll Systems LX550 Unwind to comprise the LX Fanfold pre-processing and post-processing system.

LX Fanfold is available through the Lasermax Roll Systems distributor network.

Lasermax Roll Systems said it believes it is the world's largest manufacturer of automated paper handling, monitoring, converting, and finishing equipment for high-speed electronic and digital printing.

Its products are sold and serviced in over 50 countries.
