The company added that the R S Stack options for application flexibility include strip cut (or double cut) option, which cuts out a variable-length strip across the full web width, to remove registration marks, or perforations, or creates metric forms from forms pre-printed on English-measure presses.
Lasermax said that the R S Stack also eliminates the need for off-line guillotining, saving time and money, whilst it enables simultaneous processing of two-up or three-up streams of varying set and book lengths.
Offsetting may be triggered between pages across the web on the exact set boundary independent of set length (odd or even page count), eliminating the need for pad pages.
Waste is reduced and productivity is improved.
The system's gutter cut option is said to create side-to-side bleed sheets by removing a running strip from the centre of a web.
When combined with the strip cut option, gutter cut creates four-sided full bleed sheets from a two-up printed web and off-line guillotining is eliminated, improving productivity.
The R S Stack includes the RS52 Unwind, RSC8 Cutter, RSM3 Merger and RSD1 Stacker modules.
RS Stack is available through the Lasermax Roll Systems distributor network.
