The new RSF5 Folder and the new Docusheeter VP6000 roll feed system provided the highlights of Lasermax Roll Systems' stand at the On Demand show in Boston (USA) which closed yesterday.

The automated RSF5 Folder is described as the key component in the new RS Fanfold HS system, an in-line bulk fanfolding system for high-speed continuous digital printers Thread-up, forms size changes and stack ejection are all automatic, said Lasermax

The folder runs pinless or pinfed paper, at claimed speeds up to 700 feet per minute and builds vertical stacks of fanfold forms up to one metre high for long printer and inserter runs with a minimum of operator attention required.

Also on show at On Demand was the LX Stack system producing three-up book blocks, suitable for near-line binding.

The LX Stack system shown included the recently introduced LX561 Cutter and LX566 Stacker modules, featuring the capability to cut and stack paper basis weights as light as 40gsm.

The Docusheeter VP6000 was shown for the first time on the Oce stand with the new Oce Varioprint 6250 cut-sheet duplex printer.

Docusheeter VP6000 consists of an unwinder, cutter and transport.

The unwinder feeds 1,270mm diameter rolls to the cutter module and single sheets are then fed on demand to the Varioprint 6250.

The rolls run for a shift or more before depleting, increasing both operator and printer productivity, added the company.

Also on the Oce stand on another new printer, an LX Roll-to-Roll provided unwinding and rewinding for the Oce Variostream 9240.

The new Docusheeter NV roll feed system for the Xerox Nuvera family was exhibited on the Xerox stand.

The system is claimed to be suitable for Xerox Nuvera users running A3 applications, as it essentially becomes a tray holding nearly 30,000 of the large-sized sheets.

Lasermax Roll Systems has also teamed up with Xerox on a new printer on the continuous side, the 495 Continuous Form digital printer, with the RS Stack SP system cutting and slitting two-up printed output, then merging and stacking in to a single collated stream.

On the IBM stand an LX Stack provided feeding and finishing for an IBM Infoprint 4100 HD3/HD4 digital printing system.

At the same time, on the Screen stand Screen's new Truepress Jet520 colour inkjet variable printing system worked in conjunction with the LX Stack, the first time that system has been shown on that printer.
