Lasermax displays products at Graph Expo
Lasermax Roll Systems is exhibiting systems for speed and colour at Graph Expo 2008 in Chicago and has joined with the major digital printer manufacturers to demonstrate its products.
On the Lasermax Roll Systems stand, an updated version of the Web Vision print quality assurance system, which accommodates colour digital printers, is being demonstrated.
Using high-resolution cameras to scan in-line the full width of digitally printed bills, statements and documents, Web Vision captures images to enable automated analysis of image quality, data integrity and workflow processes.
In addition to monitoring colour output, Web Vision has been upgraded to run at up to 500ft per minute.
The system is being exhibited in-line with the Lasermax Roll Systems RS Roll-to-Roll SD.
The LX700 stacking system is also being demonstrated.
It is capable of operating at up to 600ft per minute, and includes features that ensure compatibility with colour printers, such as a divert gate for waste sheets.
Motors on each LX700 module in a print line are synchronised for handling lightweight applications.
The 320 Processor is from the 300 Processor series - capabilities include tractor hole punching, file hole punching, fanfold cross perforating, and dynamic cross and vertical perforating for remittance coupons.
By buying unconverted paper and converting in-line, users can save paper.
The RSF5 Folder bulk fanfolder is also being shown.
The RSF5 features automatic thread-up, stack compression for flat stacks and inserter feeding, automatic ejection of stacks up to almost 1m high, and a small footprint.
The Docusheeter NV-R roll feed system for the Xerox Nuvera 288 digital perfecting system is being introduced on the Xerox stand.
Expanding the capabilities of the standard Docusheeter NV, this model adds a sheet rotation module to optimise grain direction for customers running applications where it is advantageous to have the paper grain running parallel to the folded, or bound edge, such as perfect-bound, case-bound and saddle-stitched documents.
Docusheeter cuts and feeds sheets from 50in diameter rolls on demand to the Xerox Nuvera.
The large rolls run for a shift or more before depleting, maximising both operator and printer productivity.
On the Oce stand, the Docusheeter VP6000 roll feed system is being exhibited on the Oce Varioprint 6250 cut sheet duplex printer.
Docusheeter VP6000 cuts and feeds single sheets on demand to the Varioprint 6250.
Also on the Oce stand, an RS Roll-to-Roll SD provides unwinding and rewinding for the Oce Colorstream 10000.
On the Kodak stand, the LX Roll-to-Roll is feeding the new Kodak Versamark VL2000, operating at up to 500ft per minute.
The Infoprint Solutions stand features the Lasermax Roll Systems LX Stack operating in-line with the Infoprint 4100 MD1/MD2.
The LX Stack cuts and stacks one-up, two-up, two-up merged or three-up streams of sheets at up to 450ft per minute.
The CP Bourg stand highlights the LX Saddle Stitch in conjunction with the IBIS Smart-binder to produce saddle-stitched booklets from roll paper, demonstrating a complete in-line booklet binding system available for continuous digital printers.
Multiple LX550 Unwinds are feeding Bowe Bell and Howell inserters on the Howell stand.
