The venue for the European Label Summit on October 27-28, 2004, has been switched from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Prague in the Czech Republic.

The organiser, Labelexpo said it has moved the event in response to feedback indicating that, while most labelling events are taking place in the west, there is a desire to do business in Eastern Europe.

'Growth opportunities in the enlarged European Union' will be the theme, and the event will involve a full conference programme, breakout sessions, tabletop exhibition and a gala dinner.

The conference will review the impact of the new EU accession countries predominantly from Central and Eastern Europe, assess the implications for expanded EU trade and business, and look at the role of brand owners and major retail groups in the enlarged European market.
