Labelexpo Europe 2007, which will take place on September 26-29 is predicted to attract over 23,000 visitors to Brussels (Belgium) from all over the world.

With the continuing growth of the label industry, more companies are exhibiting this year and an additional hall will make the show even larger than in 2005.

With exhibitor space nearly 90 per cent sold, six halls will house international suppliers unveiling their new machinery and innovations, said Labelexpo.

With the global label industry continuing to grow steadily at a rate of five per cent - seven per cent each year, Labelexpo said that its European show provides the opportunity for manufacturers to showcase their latest innovations and launch new products to a worldwide audience.

With an increasing emphasis on the internal efficiencies within the converting operation, visitors to the show will see best practice examples on how to adapt their businesses to new pressures, whilst saving cost and maximising profitability, added the organiser.

The show is expected to welcome over 500 companies to Brussels, including global suppliers, such as Nilpeter, Mark Andy, Avery Dennison, Gallus, UPM Raflatac, Omet, Gidue, HP, Sun Chemical, Rotometrics, Rotoflex and Zeller + Gmelin.

The latest technological developments will be on display at the show, including new digital printing systems, RFID options open to the market, value added inks helping to protect brands and new direct flexo plate engravings, for instance.

According to Labelexpo, people attending the show go to do serious business, view and buy new machinery, see the latest technologies driving the market and make strategic decisions about their businesses.

Visitors will also hear advice and insights from experts through several seminar sessions taking place at the event.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, said: "We're very much looking forward to an even bigger and better Labelexpo Europe this year.

With visitors from 110 countries attending in 2005, we're expecting the show to be even more international.

Labelexpo Europe continues to be the place for senior industry professionals to make strategic decisions about how to achieve optimum productivity and greater profitability, as well as how to keep up with the fast-moving technological advances." He added that the show is also the focus for the label industry to reward excellence and recognise outstanding achievement through the label industry global awards.

The accolades have been rewarding the industry since 1992 and the 2007 event is set to attract 600 industry professionals to the gala dinner and ceremony.

The awards take place at both the Labelexpo Europe and Labelexpo Americas shows, making them an important annual event on the industry calendar.
