New features at the Labelexpo Europe 2007 exhibition will be two seminars focusing on the latest label industry developments and new pavilions dedicated to specific countries and technology areas.

Taking place from September 26 - 29 in Brussels (Belgium) the first seminar will be presented by Mike Fairley, Labelexpo's strategic development director, who will cover the European and global label markets, their trends, opportunities and issues He said that the seminar will help label printers and converters to identify the key geographical areas to invest in now and in the future

And for the first time, a detailed global survey will be unveiled at the seminar comparing and contrasting growth trends in the main label industry regions of the world.

The second seminar will be delivered by Andy Thomas, the editor of Labels and Labelling magazine, who will examine the future of label converting - materials, technology, systems and management.

He will analyse the latest technological trends driving the market and advise label printers on how to achieve better performance and manage the constant changes in the industry.

Achieving profitability and good margins will also be discussed during the seminar.

Labelexpo commented that with four months to go to the show, both seminars are already proving popular with visitors, with bookings performing ahead of the organiser's expectations.

This year's show will also include specific pavilions for Brazilian and Turkish exhibitors, as well as a Smart Zone, where visitors will get the chance to see the latest innovations in RFID technologies, anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, and time and temperature indicators.

Exhibitors in that area of the show will include Timestrip, Labelvision, Muehlbauer and KSW Microtec.

The organsier said that 25 per cent of exhibitors at the show will display working machinery on their stands and of the 500 exhibitors, such companies as Nilpeter, Mark Andy, Avery Dennison, Gallus, UPM Raflatac, Omet, Gidue, HP, Rotometrics, Rotoflex, Xsys Print Solutions and Zeller + Gmelin will be present.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo's managing director, said: "There are only four months to go until Labelexpo Europe and we're very excited about the new feature areas with more innovations on display than ever before.

As a well-established show, we continue to build and develop on the success of previous events and we are sure this year's Labelexpo Europe will be even better.

The additional hall has created more space for companies to display their innovations." And he added: "We're very pleased to be introducing the new seminars and we are in the process of planning further developments in this area." Labelexpo Europe will also act as the stage for the Label Industry Global Awards, which take place on the first night of the show.
