Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Aug 10, 2007

The latest range of photopolymer printing plates for the printed packaging industry will be exhibited at the Labelexpo 2007 exhibition by Jet Europe.

Jet Europe will also highlight at Labelexpo its newest washing, exposure, drying, finishing and cleaning equipment.

Another highlight of Jet Europe's stand will be the company's new Jet Line 700 CTP.

It is described as a compact letterpress plate processor that integrates all post-exposure plate processing steps required after exposure in a modern in-line format.

A feature of the processor is its in-line pre-rinsing station that removes the black CTP-layer before plate washing.

Jet Line 700 CTP is also said to be compatible with plates up to 700mm wide.

Also new on the stand will be the Jet Line 500, which processes plates up to 500mm width, claimed the company.

The company said it will unveil several new digital systems for flexo and UV-flexo, letterpress and dry-offset printing operations.

Jet Europe will also exhibit CTP, direct laser engraving, or inkjet systems that digitally image any conventional plate type.

The digital JET-plates for letterpress, UV-flexo and dry-offset are claimed to combine the quality of CTP with the comfort of waterwashable plates, with short processing times and eco-friendliness.

The company added that the digital Ohkaflex plates, with their exposure latitude and ozone resistance, will give the demanding printer quality reproduction.

Also to be exhibited will be the Combiflex 810, a space-saving combination of an exposure, washer, dryer and finisher in one unit.

With the Combiflex 810, photopolymer flexo plates can be made up to 762mm x 1,016mm.

In addition, the Jet Clean 800 is an automatic plate-cleaning system that flushes, brushes and dries the plates, resulting in a perfectly clean plate surface, it is claimed.

With the sticky plate system, plates are held in place during washing and drying.

After drying, the plates can be stored immediately.
