Luscher will have a joint stand together with its UK Offset CTP distributor Turning Point Technologies at Ipex 2006.

The company will exhibit most of its range of equipment on stand B55 in hall 6.

Luscher will be showing its full range of Xpose CTP imaging systems for offset printing.

The Xpose 75, 130, 160 and 190 modular thermal, internal-drum CTP imaging systems will all be on display.

More than 800 units of Xpose have been sold in 54 different countries, said Luscher.

Xpose is claimed to be able to cater for plate sizes from four pages to 32 pages and it is available with different speeds dependent on productivity requirements.

The Robotic Plate Handling System will also be demonstrated in combination with two Xpose 130 units.

The company will also be showing two types of imaging systems for flexo that are said to enable customers to choose the system best suited to their needs.

They include the Flexpose direct laser ablation system, is a 'digital positive' system.

Its mask ablation system is claimed to offer a 'digital negative' option.

Flexpose Direct can be used, without adaptation, to engrave flexo, letterpress and dry-offset plates, flexo sleeves and rotary screens, according to Luscher.

Flexpose is claimed by Luscher to be the first commercially-available hybrid system that can be used to image flexo, offset and dry-offset as well as letterpress plates.

There will also be live demonstrations of the Jet Print 3530 UV-ink flatbed printer for digital large-format printing at Ipex.

The recently-released product uses spectra piezo print heads with up to 8,192 nozzles in various configurations (four, six, seven and eight colours - plus a white option).

Jet Print uses UV-curing Sunjet inks on almost any substrates (rigid or flexible) with formats up to 3,500mm x 3,050mm and 80mm material thickness at claimed speeds of up to 200 square metres per hour.
