Leading independent digital ink jet ink and media manufacturer, Lyson will be exhibiting its new range of Campaign and Sublimation HD inks for the first time on the continent at Drupa 2004.
They profiles can occasionally give superior results with alternative rendering intents, depending on the nature of the image being reproduced.
Lyson would encourage users of these profiles to experiment with each of these three rendering intent options to see which gives the most pleasing results.
The three recommended rendering intent options are: Perceptual (black point compensation off) Relative Colormetric (black point compensation on) Relative Colormetric (black point compensation off).
This advice will also apply to the most recent generic profile releases from Lyson (for the most recent Epson and Canon printers, such as those mentioned above, for instance).
Users should notice a wider colour range when using these profiles regardless of which rendering intent is used, especially with the DarkRoom range of papers and the Lyson 240g Colour Gloss paper, said the company.
