The demonstration centre will tour the USA, offering personalised demonstrations at customers' facilities throughout the country.

To educate the market about the printer for specialised and demanding applications, Matan USA came up with the tour idea.

Matan USA's general manager, Peter Brosch, said: "We have purchased and outfitted a new trailer, loaded on one of our Springpro presses and we now have a fully equipped mobile demonstration centre, ready to reach every printer's facility across Northern America." He added: "There are still many customers out there who need to be exposed to the great benefits this digital printer can offer them.

We will bring our demo centre right to their doors." The 12-inch, six-colour thermal transfer digital printer has been on the market for almost two years.

It is a niche product, suitable for very specialised applications, said Matan.

A typical Spring user operates the press for three to six hours per day.

Matan said that the return on investment on the press is short and all users are said to report improved productivity.

Some Matan Spring customers have already purchased their second and and third printers.

The Matan Spring provides spot and metallic colours, claimed high durability, the ability to withstand harsh environments, whilst being able tp use special substrates.

The press is also said to meet environmental and health standards and it is suitable for short run, quick turn-over jobs, including variable data work.

The Spring mobile demonstration centre will start its tour in mid-April in New England and will make its way all over the USA throughout the year.
