Thermal Transfer Print Quality Improvements
Matan Digital Printers has released its Spotboard, enabling features for its thermal transfer digital printers, Matan Springpro and the new Matan Spot36.
Matan said that Barak is a SWF digital printer, using UV-curable inks, designed to bring an all-in-one system to the market.
Available in 16-foot, or 10-foot widths, the Barak also provides a low total cost of ownership.
The printer incorporates print-heads with 30 picoliter drop size and a claimed wide colour gamut and flexible inks, which enable the Barak to target a variety of demanding applications.
The low ink consumption helps to provide coverage of up to 1,940 square feet per litre (180 square metres per litre) on average and 1,830 square feet per hour (170 square metres per hour) added the company.
The Barak is said to handle flexible and rigid materials, either coated or uncoated.
Its optional multi-roll feature also enables it to print simultaneously on up to three rolls, making it suitable for printing in demanding production operations.
Matan added that the Barak product range complies with the company's environment friendly philosophy as it uses UV inks that minimise site preparation requirements, ventilating and disposal.
Technical support and service to Barak users in Latin America will be provided by Matan's authorised distributors, located at strategic locations throughout the continent, including Mexico to Brazil.
Hanan Yosefi, Matan's president and chief executive officer, said: "Barak meets the rapidly growing needs of Latin America's digital SWF printing industry and the increasing expectations of print suppliers and customers.
Its high-quality printing, fast production speeds, outstanding ink coverage and excellent media versatility, makes it an all-in-one system that handles both flexible and rigid media." He continued: "I am confident that just like the European market, Latin America will also embrace this all-in-one system and step in to the new era of SWF digital printing.".
