FESPA Show Sees 3.5m UV Hybrid Digital

FESPA Digital 2008 will see the Barak3 3.5 metre wide version of the Barak UV, Hybrid SWF digital printers line.

Thermal Transfer Print Quality Improvements
Matan Digital Printers has released its Spotboard, enabling features for its thermal transfer digital printers, Matan Springpro and the new Matan Spot36.
There will be continuous demonstrations of the new system which, according to the company, is capable of production speeds of up to 150 square metres per hour, which is achieved because of the new BarakUV300 ink set.
In addition Matan will demonstrate its new Multi-Function Vacuum-Table that is claimed to be suitable for demanding media handling needs and can be switched to mesh, thanks to a new pneumatic mechanism.
Matan said that the two systems will enable Barak users to achieve higher productivity and enhanced printing quality on a variety media types and provide the easiest way to handle Mesh applications.

At Fespa Digital Printing 2006, Matan Digital Printers will launch the Matan Spot36, its newest printer for wayfinding and traffic signage and windows graphics.
Barak is a SWF digital printer, using UV-curable inks.
It is available in five metre, or 3.5 metre widths and is said to be easy to operate and user-friendly, whilst guaranteeing a low total cost of ownership.
The printer is also said to embody a 30-picoliter drop size, whilst having a wide colour gamut with flexible inks that enable the Barak to target a variety of applications.
The claimed low ink consumption with coverage of up to 180 square metres per litre (1,940 square feet per litre) and a claimed throughput of up to 150 square metres per hour (1,615 square feet per hour) meet the performance requirements of the most advanced print shop.
The Barak line is also claimed by Matan to feature the only five metre wide UV-printer on the market that handles flexible and rigid materials, either coated or uncoated.
Its optional multi-roll feature enables the Barak to print simultaneously on up to three rolls, making it suitable for printing in demanding production environments.
In addition, Matan's stand will feature the flagship of its thermal transfer printing product line, the Matan SprinG3, which will be demonstrated throughout the show.
The SprinG3 is a 30cm (12-inch) roll-to-roll digital printer, designed for fast, durable, short runs with vivid colours for labels, decals, membranes, traffic and other signs.
In addition, printed samples of tags, labels and different signs will be available on-site to illustrate the printer's output on a variety of media.
