Monitor Displaying Web Tension Easy To Instal
Magpowr, a provider of web tension and torque control systems, has launched its Digital Tension Meter to display web tension in areas of the web where access to a tension control unit is not required.
Representing Maxcess, Schmidt has been a long-term supporter of the CEMA programme and the Association of Industrial Metallisers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL).
In addition to his new role, he will retain his position as chairman of CEMA's slitting and rewinding seminar and co-chairman of AIMCAL's web handling committee.
Schmidt commented: "Both CEMA and AIMCAL offer tremendous benefits to members and in today's challenging economy, the concept of team matters more than ever.
I have always believed that you get back what you put in and now is a great time to get involved." As the parent company to three of web handling industry businesses, Fife, Magpowr and Tidland, Maxcess International said it brings 130 combined years of web handling experience, problem solving and technological knowledge to the converting industry.
Its products and services include web guiding, web inspection, automated and manual slitting and tension control systems, as well as core chucks and shafts and a line of brakes, clutches and tension sensors.
