A Madico Graphic Films product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Apr 2, 2008

Pressure sensitive films provider, Madico Graphic Films, will exhibit glazing enhancement films at the FESPA Digital exhibition, including eco-solvent and UV inkjet printable media, such as Clearlite.

Clearlite is described by Madico as a range of ultra-clear polyester films, whilst the company's Lumisty view control films and Texturelite privacy window films will also be on display at the FESPA Digital show, on the company's stand H60.

The company said that is presence at FESPA Digital will illustrate the opportunities for architectural design, POS and other wide-format glazing enhancement applications.

Madico's Clearlite Eco-Solvent range of optically clear, clean-room manufactured polyester films are claimed to transform flat glass in to vibrant advertising, design and corporate identity opportunities.

Clearlite is also said to expand the number of applications achievable for printers, thereby increasing revenue streams.

Its top coatings enable printing with eco-solvent based inks and have been tested and approved by printer manufacturers, added the company.

Clearlite Eco-Solvent has been clean-room coated using window film coating techniques for contaminant-free optical clarity.

Madico said that its UV variant of inkjet printable, glazing enhancement films is represented by its Clearlite UV range to create new opportunities for decoration, manifestation and privacy graphics on flat glass surfaces.

The films have UV blocking properties and are suitable for promotional and architectural applications when used in conjunction with the company's range of adhesives and scratch resistant hardcoats.

Madico will also exhibit its Lumisty view control window film, which is claimed to provide the ability to control what can and can not be seen.

Lumisty creates invisible viewing angles that can be used to block unsightly views, create privacy effects, or draw attention to retail displays.

It changes from transparent to translucent (or vice-versa) depending on the viewing angle, making it appropriate for creative, architectural, security and promotional applications, added the company.

Texturelite comprises a range of inkjet printable films that enable designers and architects to provide privacy with decorative printed images on glass partitioning, windows and balustrades.

The claimed scratch-resistant range offers built in UV protection to reduce damaging UV transmission, which causes fading and de-colourisation to fabrics and furnishings.

Furthermore, the Texturelite range is suitable for UV and eco-solvent digital printing and comprises a choice of textures.

Andy Voss, the managing director of Madico Graphic Films, commented: "Our range of versatile window films sets the industry standards for innovation, ease of use and the realisation of creative vision.

Thanks to their clarity, UV stability, scratch resistance and ability to print with all leading digital technologies, our glazing enhancement films are the key to enabling new and creative visual applications for architects, graphic and interior designers." Voss explained that Madico can manufacture bespoke products of any quantity, from very small upwards.

In addition to its window film range, Madico offers such materials as screen printable polyester films, long-term durable outdoor materials, security films and special over-laminating films.
