Deckers Druk in Beveren (Belgium) has chosen Flightcheck Online, from Markzware Europe for checking and sending customers graphic files via the internet.
Flightcheck 6 features include a refined interface that includes automatic Flightplan switching between PDF and Native files.
Markzware said that no more set-up is required to tap in to the Flightcheck PDF pre-flighting capabilities.
Now, when a PDF file is pre-flighted, Flightcheck will automatically switch to the PDF rule sets.
If a native file, such as an InDesign or Quark job is then pre-flighted, Flightcheck will automatically switch back to the pre-flight rule sets for native files.
Flightcheck 6 is now Universal Binary compatible for native Macintosh Intel machines and allows users to pre-flight QuarkXPress v7 documents from a single and central stand-alone application, said Markzware.
The company added that Flightcheck 6 supports such font management tools as Extensis Suitcase Fusion, Insider Software Font Agent Pro, Linotype Fontexplorer and Apple Font Book.
There is also a new version of automatic subfolder creation when collecting, which is said to automatically create fonts and images subfolders whenever collecting jobs for print.
In addition, there is enhanced font searching, where users have the capability to set-up customised font paths for prioritising where fonts should be searched for first.
Markzware added that users now have the capability to set up customised image paths for prioritising where images should be searched for first and additionally, OPI detection for Colour Central has been enhanced.
Flightcheck 6 now offers optimised performance and accuracy with PDF (v1.6) files and offers automatic switching of pre-flight rules.
Markzware's chief executive officer, Patrick Marchese, said: "Many print and publishing workflows use and depend on Flightcheck as their comprehensive pre-flight system for quality control.
