Adobe InDesign File Conversion To QuarkXPress

A Markzware Europe product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Sep 6, 2007

The ability to convert Adobe InDesign v5 (CS3) files in to QuarkXPress documents is now being offered by Markzware with InDesign To QuarkXPress (ID2Q v3) software.

This latest version of InDesign To QuarkXPressen also has universal binary support for the Intel-based Macintosh.

ID2Q is an XTension that converts Adobe InDesign files (v1.5 through 5.x) in to QuarkXPress v6.x or 7.x documents.

The conversion result includes elements of the documents, such as object positions, colours, fonts, text attributes and images, for instance.

ID2Q also converts cross-platform files - for instance, converting Windows InDesign files to Mac QuarkXPress and vice versa.

ID2Q v3 is available for immediate download, or on CD-ROM, for Mac and Windows operating systems, said Markzware.

Andy Southern, the creative services manager of Image Red, a full service advertising agency in Lancashire (UK) commented: "ID2Q has saved us hundreds of hours of re-working InDesign documents that we prefer to use in QuarkXPress 7.

Without Markzware's conversion tool it would have been a lengthy and elaborate process.".
