Markzware has released an upgrade to its conversion tool Q2ID (Quarkxpress to Indesign).

The company claim that Q2ID v4 is an affordable method for migrating Quarkxpress content into an Adobe Indesign document.

The latest version has full plug-in support for Adobe Indesign CS3 and CS4 and converts Quarkxpress versions 3.3 through to version 8.

It is also said to optimise the graphic design workflow.

Q2ID v4 enables the details of content in a Quarkxpress document to be re-created in Indesign.

According to Markzware, the conversion technology will save time scanning, re-keying and formatting files.

Q2ID converts and transforms files created with Quarkxpress on either Microsoft or Apple Macintosh OS, into an Adobe Indesign file, which can then be opened on either platform.
