For the first time, two versions of The Leeds Guide cover have been produced - one containing metallic greens and the other metallic purples, each utilising MetalFX's LiteFX feature.
The company's strategic partner and ink manufacturer, Eckart (Hall 03, Stand B32), has dedicated a floor of its stand to the technique, and the Huber Group (Hall 03, Stand C68) and its UK subsidiary, Stehlin Hostag, are also using MetalFX as a selling point, said the company.
At Print City, Wolstenholme International (Hall 06, Stand B76) will be endorsing its MetalFX Silver Base inks with giveaway posters, vodka bottles and promotional talks.
Visitors will also be able to see examples of MetalFX work printed live and exhibited at a number of stands at Drupa.
They include Komori (Hall 15, Stand D04/C04), who will be showing MetalFX incorporated into various packaging examples and posters for Honda.
Heidelberg (Hall 01, Stand A05) will be printing three different MetalFX packaging jobs, with IST (Hall 03, Stand B04) exhibiting lamps to show the speed at which MFX metallics can be produced.
Flexo printer Gallus (Hall 01, Stand A01) will show how MetalFX can be used to create designs on labels, as will Labelmen (Hall 10, Stand D44).
Rotatek (Hall 11, Stand D44) will print MetalFX samples, including posters for another major car brand, and MAN Roland has organised MetalFX print runs with Shinohara (Hall 06, Stand B60) at the Print City Hall.
Representatives from MetalFX will be at the Eckart, Huber Group and Wolstenholme International stands so that visitors could find out more about the technology, its benefits and the special Drupa offers on MFX Licenses and Design Kits.
MetalFX managing director, Andrew Ainge, commented: "The coverage of MetalFX at Drupa is amazing, and shows that the technology is bringing metallics into the mainstream on a global level.
We believe that MetalFX will become the worldwide standard in the printing of metallic colours and the buzz surrounding our presence at Drupa indicates that we are well on the way to achieving that goal.".
