Spot Metallioc colour Firm's New America Boss

MetalFX Technology has a new vice president for the Americas with the appointment of Mark Geeves.

At the same time he has also become head of Ciba Color Services in the Americas for Ciba Color Services, MetalFX's parent company.

Geeves will focus on bringing the MetalFX metallic color printing process to the North American and Latin American markets.

Andrew Ainge, MetalFX's managing director, commented: "Mark Geeves brings a vast array of colour experience to MetalFX.

Prior to joining us and Ciba, Mark was vice president of global business development at GretagMacbeth, and president and general manager of Bestcolor USA.

He also held executive positions at X-Rite and Color Savvy Systems." He added: "Mark is widely known in the world of colour and has focused on developing organisations that bring innovative products to the graphic arts and printing industries.

His mission is to introduce and grow MetalFX throughout the North American and Latin American markets." MetalFX, a recent Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation acquisition, is a process and spot metallic colour system that is claimed to allow millions of metallic colours to be printed by adding a single base silver ink to the usual CMYK mix.
