Metallic Inks Printing Training Gets
Under Way
Those people responsible for pressroom training programmes are now being certified in the use of metallic printing software by MetalFX Technology.
MetalFX has already conducted the first certification class at PIA/GATF and the company has said that additional classes will be conducted in the near future MetalFX's vice president for the Americas, Mark Geeves, explained: "Although printing metallics with the MetalFX process is significantly easier than printing conventional metallics, the process is counter-intuitive to many press operators
We are certifying independent pressroom colour consultants and major graphic arts dealer personnel, who can assist printers in making the transition to the MetalFX process." He added that many of the certified MetalFX trainers are also fully trained in the G7 colour process, which will ensure that they are familiar with the latest pressroom colour techniques.
