MAN Roland Adds Plates To UK Portfolio
MAN Roland GB has added plates to its consumables range after reaching agreement with plate manufacturer Lastra to supply the Italian-based company's full range of products in the UK.

The agreement was finalised during the second day of the Northprint show and MAN Roland said that it will be promoting Lastra plates to printers with immediate effect.
Murray Lock, MAN Roland GB's marketing director, said: "Whilst the market for printing plates might be very price sensitive, plate performance and service are also critical factors.
Through our contact with printers with regard to other consumable items we know that some are dissatisfied with the service that they are receiving from their plate suppliers.
That means that we have an opportunity to make a difference." MAN Roland has announced the appointment of a plate specialist to work closely with Lastra, with MAN's existing consumables representative Joe McDonald being given the role of plate supremo for the company.
Joe has a massive 40 years of experience in the plate business - experience that will be of great value to both our own staff and to customers," added Lock.
Commenting on the agreement, Mike Warnes, the managing director of Lastra Imaging (UK), said: "MAN Roland is a quality organisation and it has an impressive customer base.
We have an excellent range of products and I am confident that MAN Roland will be successful in expanding its consumable business through printing plates, giving another added value service to its customers.".
