Automated wash-up systems have been a feature on sheet-fed presses for a number of years now However, some users do not realise that certain components of these systems do wear over time

That is why MAN Roland is focusing the attentions of Roalnd 300 and Roland 700 press users on that fact with a new promotion on wash-up brushes and scraper blades.

Murray Lock, marketing director at MAN Roland GB, said: "Automated wash-up systems are a real bonus when it comes to speeding up make-ready times, but components such as the brushes within the system are subject to wear over time.

As they wear they begin to lose their effectiveness." The company is offering savings on the list price of both brushes and scraper blades for automated wash-up systems.

"We are currently offering savings of 75 per cent on these components, and our field engineers are aiming to show users how to change these elements of the system so that they can become self sufficient," added Lock.

He continued: "We are urging companies to examine their automated systems to see if they are performing to expectations.

We have found examples where the operator simply gives up using the automated system and returns to manual cleaning, simply because the brushes have become worn and ineffective.

To get the best return on their investment print companies should examine these areas of their press and make the small investment in replacement components where necessary.".
